Microsoft berencana untuk membuka sebuah took online game PC untuk Windows Marketplace pada pertengahan November mendatang. Microsoft akan siap dengan 100 judul berbagai game, termasuk dari Microsoft Game Studios, seperti "Fable: The Lost Chapters," "Flight Simulator," "Gears of War," "Halo" , "Age of Empires Online",”Grand Theft Auto III” , “Max Payne" from Rockstar Games, "Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition" dari Square Enix, juga sejumlah judul game indie.
Menurut Microsoft, para pecinta game akan dapat mengakses took online tersebut, bisa membelinya atau men-download-nya, mudah navigasi dan pembeliannya. Microsoft akan meluncurkan toko online tersebut di alamat www.gamesforwindows.com mulai 15 November 2010. Pengguna yang memiliki Windows Live ID, termasuk di Windows Live, Xbox Live, Games for Windows Live atau account Zune, dapat login ke toko game terbaru dari Microsoft tersebut
